PDF to Word gives you an editable .docx file to work with instead of a locked PDF — useful when you need to revise a contract, update a form, or reuse content from a document someone sent you as a PDF. Good to know

  • Preserves layout, tables, and images — not just plain text
  • Scanned PDFs (photos of pages) with no real text underneath may convert with limited accuracy — try Image to Text for those instead

FAQ

Does this keep my original formatting?

Yes — this tool reconstructs paragraphs, headings, tables, and images from the PDF, not just plain text. Very complex layouts (multi-column magazines, heavily designed pages) may still need minor manual cleanup, which is true of every PDF-to-Word converter.

My PDF is a scan — why did the result look off?

Scanned PDFs are actually images of text, not real text characters, so results can be inconsistent. Use Image to Text for scanned pages instead.

Can I edit the result in Word?

Yes — the output is a standard .docx file, fully editable in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF?

Not currently — password-protected or encrypted PDFs aren't supported. Remove the password first, then convert.

Is my file stored anywhere?

No — your PDF is sent for conversion only and is not retained afterward. See our privacy policy for details.

Does this work on Mac, Windows, or my phone?
