PDF to Word
Pulls the readable text out of a PDF and packages it into a real, editable .docx file.
PDF to Word gives you an editable .docx file to work with instead of a locked PDF — useful when you need to revise a contract, update a form, or reuse text from a document someone sent you as a PDF.
How it works
- Add your PDFWorks best on PDFs that already contain real text (not scanned images).
- ExtractEvery page's text is pulled out, in reading order, and split into paragraphs.
- DownloadYou get a genuine .docx file that opens directly in Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice.
Good to know
- Best for reports, articles, and text-heavy documents
- Scanned PDFs (photos of pages) won't extract text — try Image to Text instead
- Tables, columns, and images are not preserved
- Output is a standard .docx, fully editable in any word processor
FAQ
Why doesn't this keep my original formatting?
True layout-preserving PDF-to-Word conversion needs specialized software that rebuilds fonts, positioning, and tables — something that isn't reliably possible in browser JavaScript. This tool focuses on getting your text out cleanly and editably instead.
My PDF is a scan — why did nothing come out?
Scanned PDFs are actually images of text, not real text characters, so there's nothing for this tool to extract. Use Image to Text for scanned pages instead.
Can I edit the result in Word?
Yes — the output is a standard .docx file, fully editable in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice.
