Good to know

  • Stream-copy mode means video and audio quality are identical to the original — nothing is re-compressed
  • Output keeps the same container/format as your input, not forced to a different one
  • Fast stream-copy trims align to the nearest keyframe, so the exact cut point can shift by a fraction of a second on some files — a real, known tradeoff of this method, not a bug

Does trimming re-encode the whole video?

No — trimming uses a fast copy mode that cuts without fully re-encoding, so it’s much quicker than compression or resizing.

Can I trim multiple clips from one video?

One clip per conversion — run the tool again with different start/end times for additional clips.
