Yes, you can combine different image formats. Each becomes its own page (or shares a page, if you've chosen more than one image per page), in the order they're listed.

Does this reduce image quality?

No, images are embedded at their original resolution and quality.

Is there a limit on how many images I can add?

No fixed limit — large batches just depend on your device's available memory.

Can I rotate an image, or put multiple images on one page?

Yes — each file has its own rotate button, and you can choose 1, 2, 4, 6, or 8 images per page using the layout options above the file list. Multiple-per-page only works with "Fit to page," since "Original image size" places one image at its own native size per page.
