Good to know

  • PNG is lossless, so image quality is fully preserved — the tradeoff is a larger file than JPG
  • Live Photos convert only the still image — the motion portion isn't preserved
  • First use loads a HEIC decoder in the background — a brief pause before the first conversion is normal
  • No file size or count limit enforced by us

Why does conversion take a moment?

HEIC decoding runs a WebAssembly library entirely in your browser tab — larger photos can take a few seconds, especially on older devices.

Can I convert multiple HEIC photos at once?

This page converts one photo at a time. For several photos, repeat the process for each — everything still stays on your device.
